Definition
Blended CAC is total marketing spend divided by the number of new customers in the same period, across every channel.
Blended CAC = total marketing spend / new customersExample with made-up numbers: Spend of 20,000 and 500 first-time customers gives a blended CAC of 40.
How to use it
It is 'blended' because it does not try to assign each customer to one channel. It answers a simpler question: what did we pay, in total, for each new customer this month?
Count only new customers. Repeat buyers dilute the number and make acquisition look cheaper than it was.
