What the store provides
- Orders, refunds and order totals, including taxes and shipping, which you must treat the same way in every report.
- Product costs entered once per product group, for contribution margin and break-even ROAS.
- Landing pages on the WordPress site, whose UTM tags should follow the same standard as the ads.
Things that differ from other stores
- Taxes and shipping can be included or excluded in the order total depending on settings. Pick one and state it on the report.
- Plugins can change checkout and thank-you pages, so confirm the purchase event still fires once after any update.
- The site and the store often share a team. Keep a change log entry for store changes that can move conversion rates.
What to check first
- Order counts for a test day against the purchases the ad platforms report.
- That landing page URLs carry the UTM standard, so analytics can separate the channels.
- That a refund reduces the revenue in the period it was issued, and the report says so.
