Google Analytics 4 integration

GA4 is a separate view of behaviour. It is shown beside the store and the ad platforms, never merged with them.

Stock photos and example labels, not customers.

How the data moves

From Google Analytics 4 to your report. Back only with a yes.

The top row is reading, which is all a new connection does. The bottom row is writing, switched on per account only after you grant the rights.

  1. Google Analytics 4Reads data API reports
  2. 🔑Token vaultRead-only token, encrypted on the server
  3. One recordStored per client, with currency and time zone kept
  4. ▦Your reportSource, formula and sync time on every number
  5. ✎ProposalA change such as: only supported settings through the Admin API
  6. ✓Preview and yesBefore and after, then a person with the right role approves
  7. ⎙Written onceAn idempotency key, so a retry cannot repeat the change
  8. ↻Read back, loggedGoogle Analytics 4 is read again, compared and logged
Read: on by default, read-onlyWrite: off until you grant it, then every change needs approval

Google Analytics 4: reads, writes and limits

  • Data API reports
  • Only supported settings through the Admin API

Always after preview and approval.

  • Google OAuth or service access to the property
  • Reports have quotas, sampling and thresholds that depend on the query.

Before you connect

Your ticks stay in this browser only.

Common data differences

General practice, not a claim about any one account.

Difference

Consent choices and blocked scripts

Visitors who decline analytics cookies are not fully measured. Blocked scripts and slow pages can also drop some visits. Sessions and purchases can then look lower than the store, for reasons unrelated to the ads. When consent is limited, read the numbers as a measured sample, not a full count.

Difference

Channel rules and credit

Analytics assigns credit to channels by its own rules, and each ad platform assigns credit by its own rules. The same purchase can appear under paid social in one tool and under direct or organic in the other. Use the same rules when you compare, or label the difference.

Difference

Sampling, thresholds and fresh data

Some reports on large data use sampling, and some hide small groups for privacy. Recent days can still change after the first load. Totals may not add up across rows. Compare closed periods and totals, not single lines.

Questions about Google Analytics 4

Is the Google Analytics 4 connection read-only?

It starts read-only. Changes are added only where the platform grants the permission, and each one is previewed, approved, sent once, read back and logged.

Where is the token stored?

In an encrypted vault on the server, never in the browser, in logs or in an AI prompt.

Is the Google Analytics 4 connector available now?

Not yet. It goes live after the platform access is in place. Request access to be told when it does.

Built for shop owners, creators and agencies. Stock photos, not customers.

Run the next client review from one screen.

We open one agency at a time, with your own accounts connected read-only first.
