Definition
An approval workflow requires a named person to review and accept a change before it is applied, and records who approved what and when.
How to use it
For ad accounts, the useful version is short: a proposal with a reason, a preview of the exact change, an approval from a second person, one send that is safe to retry, a read-back and a log entry.
The goal is not bureaucracy. It is to make the rare expensive mistake hard to repeat, and to show a client who decided what.
