- Effect on time: the new date for each deliverable, marked as an estimate where it is one.
- Effect on fees: the change in hours or fee under the agreement, marked as an estimate where it is one.
- Options: at least one alternative, such as a smaller version or a later date.
- Decision: approved, changed or declined, with the approver and the date.
Rules
- No work on the change starts before the written decision.
- A change to a live account also goes through the ad change approval workflow.
- If new work is added, name what is moved or dropped to make room.
Made-up scenario: a made-up client asks for a second landing page test in the same month. The agency estimates two extra working days. The client drops one ad set from the plan to keep the budget. The decision, the trade-off and the new date go into one row of the change log.
